Deep celestial blue, speckled with gold. These Lapis Lazuli hearts are a timeless classic. Mined in Afghanistan, Lapis has been prized since antiquity for its intense royal blue color (Lazurite) and glittering flecks of golden Pyrite.
Weighing approximately 160g, these are substantial, heavy palm stones. They have a smooth polish that highlights the complex interplay of blue, gold, and white (calcite) patterns.
This listing is for one Intuitively Selected heart. Your piece will be chosen from our curated stock to match the rich blue and gold aesthetic shown.
Geological Overview
Lapis Lazuli is a metamorphic rock, not a single mineral. Its blue color comes from Lazurite, while the gold sparkles are real Pyrite (Fool's Gold), and the white veins are Calcite. It is one of the oldest gemstones in history, used by Egyptian pharaohs and Renaissance painters (as ultramarine pigment).
Metaphysical Properties
Wisdom, Truth, and Vision.
Connected to the Third Eye and Throat Chakras, Lapis Lazuli is the stone of total awareness. It is used to stimulate intellect, encourage honest communication, and reveal inner truth. It is a stone of leadership and spiritual insight.
Collector's & Display Notes
The golden pyrite flecks will sparkle beautifully under halogen or warm indoor lighting. These hearts make a striking contrast when displayed next to lighter stones like Selenite or Clear Quartz.
