Geological Overview

This curated suite features classic zeolite group minerals that formed within the ancient, gas-rich cavities of basaltic lava flows along the Bay of Fundy. Wasson's Bluff is globally renowned for producing some of the world's most vibrant and structurally distinct zeolites. These specimens exhibit striking, salmon-to-peach-coloured rhombohedral crystals of Chabazite and tabular Heulandite, beautifully contrasted by pearly, white, bladed Stilbite formations anchored to a dark, rugged basaltic matrix.

Aesthetic Appeal & Grading

Expertly evaluated as AA (Premium Collector Grade), these specimens showcase remarkable colour saturation and crystal integrity. The striking visual contrast between the vivid orange-red zeolites, the delicate white stilbite accents, and the dark host rock creates a dramatic, museum-quality presentation. Because this is a diverse flat of 19 individual pieces, we have made each specimen available as a distinct, exact-piece variant. From the massive 1.74 kg centerpiece (Variant CH01) that commands a room, to the intricately detailed miniature and thumbnail selections (such as Variants CH12-CH16), each piece has been individually assessed and hand-selected for its distinct structural beauty, deep vug formations, and overall aesthetic balance.

Metaphysical & Feng Shui Properties

Zeolites are revered in holistic practices as profound purifiers and high-vibration energy amplifiers. Chabazite and Heulandite are traditionally used to facilitate deep meditative states, emotional healing, and a connection to ancient earth wisdom, while Stilbite offers a gentle, expanding, and calming frequency. In Feng Shui, these organic earth elements are perfectly suited for the Gen (Knowledge & Self-Cultivation) Bagua area, grounding the space while inviting intellectual and spiritual growth.

Rarity & Collectibility

Wasson's Bluff remains a definitive and classic locality for serious zeolite collectors. Due to the treacherous tidal conditions of the Bay of Fundy and strict regional fossil protections, acquiring unweathered, high-quality material from this region has become increasingly difficult. A collection of this scale and quality, featuring undamaged crystals with such intense colour and varied matrix structures, is highly sought after in the Canadian and international collector markets.

Collector's & Display Notes

This release caters to collectors of all levels, with variants spanning substantial cabinet centerpieces to delicate thumbnails. To preserve the vibrancy and structural integrity of the crystals, display these pieces in a stable, well-lit cabinet away from areas with high humidity or extreme temperature fluctuations. The matrix provides a natural, stable base for most of the larger pieces, while the smaller variants display beautifully on clear acrylic display bases. Review the index below to select your exact piece from the dropdown menu.

Condition & Authenticity

These specimens are all-natural, raw, and completely untreated, with no repairs, dyes, or artificial stabilization. They remain exactly as they were carefully extracted from the host rock.

Care Instructions

Zeolites are relatively soft and fragile minerals. Handle your specimen strictly by the matrix edges whenever possible to avoid crushing or flaking the delicate crystal structures. Dust lightly with a soft, dry cosmetic brush or compressed air. Do not submerge in water or use harsh chemical cleaners, as this can damage both the crystals and the host basaltic rock.
