• Specimen A (Scenic Druzy): A large, expansive heart featuring complex "landscape" patterns. It is distinguished by open crystalline vugs (caves) and druzy pockets where sparkling quartz crystals are exposed.

Geological Overview

Moss Agate is technically a form of Chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz) rather than a true banded agate. The "moss" is actually formed by dendritic inclusions of manganese or iron oxides that grew into the silica gel before it hardened. This unique formation process ensures that no two pieces are ever alike.
