Discover the serene beauty of Caribbean Calcite, a mesmerizing combination of sky-blue Calcite and earthy Aragonite. Each of these Butterfly Fairy carvings is masterfully sculpted to showcase the natural landscapes found within the stone—reminiscent of tropical shorelines and frothing seafoam.
Geological Overview
Discovered in 2019 in Pakistan, Caribbean Calcite is a unique sedimentary mineral combination. It consists primarily of oceanic Blue Calcite interwoven with Brown and White Aragonite. These specimens formed through the slow precipitation of calcium carbonate in marine environments, resulting in the distinct "beach-and-water" aesthetic. Natural vugs, small druzy pockets, and crystalline fissures are characteristic of this material and serve as a testament to its authentic, all-natural formation.
Aesthetic Appeal
Each "Butterfly Fairy" is hand-polished to a smooth finish while maintaining the intricate carved details of the wings and silhouette. The palette is a sophisticated blend of robin's egg blue, sandy tan, and chocolate brown.
- Form: A kneeling fairy figure with expansive butterfly wings featuring etched "eye" patterns.
- Texture: Silky polish with occasional natural "oceanic" pockets and crystalline druzy.
- Visual Impact: Exceptional contrast between the translucent blue layers and the opaque, earthy Aragonite banding.
Select Your Specimen
Because these are natural stones, no two are alike. Please select your preferred piece from the options below:
Variant A: A very clean, classic specimen with a soft blend of seafoam blue and white aragonite clouding.
Variant B: Features a "frosted" seafoam texture with small, natural vugs on the wings that reveal the internal crystal structure.
Variant C: Striking "Tiger" banding; features bold ribbons of chocolate aragonite across the upper wings and head for a high-contrast look.
Variant D: Highly saturated blue. This piece features the deepest turquoise tones in the collection with minimal brown inclusions.
Variant E: A "Sandy Beach" aesthetic with rich, earthy aragonite concentrated at the base, creating a beautifully grounded appearance.
Variant F: Sleek and minimalist with a singular dark mineral inclusion on the wing, acting as a natural "beauty mark."
Variant G: Highly textural and unique; features prominent natural crystalline pockets and a rugged, raw energy in the wing details.
Metaphysical Properties
Known as the "Stone of Coastal Calm," Caribbean Calcite resonates with the Third Eye and Throat Chakras. It is highly regarded in metaphysical circles for its ability to facilitate lucid dreaming, astral travel, and deep meditative states. The butterfly symbolism further elevates this piece as a totem of transformation and spiritual lightness.
Collector’s & Display Notes
These pieces are ideal for lit display cases where light can penetrate the translucent Blue Calcite. Condition Note: All-natural material. Natural micro-vugs and internal veils are present and consistent with the extraction of Pakistan Caribbean Calcite. To maintain the vibrant blue hues, avoid prolonged exposure to direct UV sunlight.
