Quiet power in your palm. These large Larvikite palm stones have a deep smoky-grey base with natural feldspar patterning and occasional subtle shimmer that catches the light at the right angle. Each one is polished smooth for an easy, comforting hold—perfect for a desk, nightstand, or daily grounding piece.
Overview
Larvikite is a feldspar-rich igneous rock (often called a monzonite) made primarily of plagioclase feldspar with dark mineral inclusions that create its moody grey-to-charcoal look. The stone forms as magma cools slowly underground, allowing larger mineral grains to develop—this is why Larvikite often shows a soft “clouded” or mosaic-like internal texture. You’ll sometimes see it marketed as “Black Labradorite,” but Larvikite is its own distinct material.
Typical source environment: formed in slow-cooled intrusive igneous bodies (deep underground magma chambers).
