Geological Overview
Ocean Jasper (Orbicular Jasper) is a rare variety of silicified rhyolite found only along the northwestern coast of Madagascar. The "orbs" are spherulites formed from the crystallization of silica-rich magma. It is often mined only at low tide, adding to its mystique and rarity.
Metaphysical Properties
Joy and Interconnectedness.
Ocean Jasper is known as the "Atlantis Stone." It carries a gentle, nurturing energy that reminds us of the rhythmic nature of life—like the tides. It is used to cultivate patience, release stress, and bring a sense of joy and lifted spirits.
Collector's & Display Notes
Ocean Jasper takes a high polish but often retains small natural vugs (crystal pockets) or surface pores where the orbs meet the matrix. These are a hallmark of genuine material.
