Geological Overview
Ruby in Zoisite, formally known as Anyolite, is a rare natural metamorphic rock rather than a single mineral. It is a stunning composite consisting of earthy green zoisite (Ca2Al3(SiO4)(Si2O7)O(OH)), opaque red corundum (ruby, Al2O3), and black tschermakite inclusions. This striking combination forms under extreme pressure and temperature in regional metamorphic environments, resulting in a dense, granular matrix that seamlessly suspends the ruby crystals.
Aesthetic Appeal
This offering features natural Ruby in Zoisite shaped into faceted 8mm (0.31 in) spherical beads. The faceted cuts introduce a highly reflective geometric texture to the stone, allowing light to dance across the surface while highlighting the dramatic colour contrast between the vibrant green matrix, the dark black spotting, and the vivid magenta-red ruby inclusions.
Metaphysical Properties
Energetically, this composite stone acts as a bridge between the Heart and Root Chakras. In metaphysical practices, the green zoisite is believed to promote growth, healing, and emotional balance, while the ruby inclusions provide an anchoring surge of vitality, passion, and grounding energy. It is frequently utilized as a talisman for overcoming lethargy and revitalizing the spirit.
Rarity & Collectibility
True Anyolite is a geologically fascinating material heavily sought after by collectors for its vibrant, natural colour contrasts. This faceted bead format offers a premium, wearable presentation of a classic collector's rock, classifying it as a highly attractive decorative-grade accessory.
Collector’s & Display Notes
The hardness of this stone varies significantly across its surface; the ruby inclusions are extremely hard, rating a 9 on the Mohs scale, while the zoisite matrix is softer, rating between 6 and 6.5. Because of this variance and the sharp faceted edges, the beads can be susceptible to micro-chipping upon heavy impact. To preserve the surface polish and the integrity of the elastic stretch cord, avoid exposing the bracelet to harsh cleaning chemicals, excessive moisture, or sudden physical shocks.
Condition & Authenticity
These are all-natural, polished and faceted Ruby in Zoisite beads. Minor surface variations along the facet edges are normal and consistent with the granular structure and varying hardness of the underlying rock. Transparency Note: Please be aware that these stones are strung on a green elastic stretch cord, which naturally enhances and deepens the green colouration visible through the zoisite matrix.
