Geological Overview
Strawberry Quartz is a macrocrystalline variety of silicon dioxide, represented by the chemical formula SiO2. Its distinct pinkish-red colouration and sparkling internal appearance are not caused by trace elements within the quartz lattice itself, but rather by dense, microscopic inclusions of iron oxide minerals, most commonly hematite (Fe2O3), goethite, or lepidocrocite (FeO(OH)). These inclusions become trapped within the quartz during its formation in pegmatites and hydrothermal veins.

Condition & Authenticity
These are all-natural, polished and faceted Strawberry Quartz beads. Minor surface variations along the facet edges are normal. Transparency Note: Please be aware that these translucent stones are strung on a bright pink elastic stretch cord, which naturally enhances and deepens the pink colouration visible through the beads.
