Soft, soothing, and beautifully layered, these Zebra Calcite hearts feature alternating bands of creamy white, beige, and stone grey. Unlike the high-gloss shine of quartz, Calcite has a distinct "waxy" luster and a soft, soap-like feel that is incredibly tactile and comforting to hold.
Weighing approximately 75g, these hearts are excellent tools for meditation, helping to center the mind and dissolve chaotic energy.
This listing is for one Intuitively Selected heart. Your piece will be chosen from our curated stock to match the beautiful banding patterns shown.
Geological Overview
Zebra Calcite (also known as Banded Calcite) is a variety of Calcium Carbonate ($CaCO_3$) formed in sedimentary environments. Over millions of years, different layers of mineral impurities settled on the sea floor, creating the distinct "zebra" striping. It is a soft mineral (Mohs Hardness of 3), giving it a gentle energy and delicate finish.
Metaphysical Properties
Clearing and Grounding.
Zebra Calcite is a powerful energy amplifier and cleanser. It is often used to clear out old energy patterns and restore balance to the emotional body. Its banding represents the integration of opposites—light and dark, yin and yang—helping the holder find a middle ground in difficult situations.
Collector's & Display Notes
Because Calcite is acid-sensitive and soft, these hearts should be handled with care. They display beautifully next to darker stones like Black Tourmaline or Smoky Quartz, which make the cream bands pop.
